Microsoft recently announced a 90 day trial of Windows 7 Enterprise for IT Professionals who currently don’t have access to the RTM but are interested in trying out the new Windows OS.

This free 90 day trial is a great opportunity for IT Pros who don’t have access to Windows 7 RTM through TechNet Plus, MSDN or Software Assurance to test out the OS and see how it performs in their workplace.

This way you’re able to prepare and get familiar with the final version of Windows 7, see how compatible your software and hardware is and how the Enterprise edition fits into your work environment.


Windows 7 Enterprise 90 Day Evaluation Now Available

The Windows 7 Enterprise trial is available now through the end of March, 2010 in English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

The minimum system requirements and guidelines for usage, along with the actual download, are all available on Microsoft TechNet.

Microsoft cautions that this trial is designed for IT Pros and IT Pros only, saying “We do not recommend that you install this if you are a not an IT Professional or not professionally managing corporate networks.”

Windows 7 EnterpriseThe usage guidelines also point out that you shouldn’t test Windows 7 on your primary PC (home or business) but rather a test machine, just in case something goes wrong.
